This mini bamboo travel set is entirely handmade in Japan by artisan Hirata-san and his father, in the Nara region. Compact, elegant, and functional, it allows you to prepare authentic matcha wherever you are: on the go, hiking, at the office, or traveling.

Each item is made from carefully selected natural bamboo.
🌿 100% manual craftsmanship
The whisk (chasen) is carved from a single piece of bamboo.
It is impossible to produce these whisks by machine — each piece requires precision, patience, and know-how.
The spoon (chashaku) is carved then folded by hand with hot steam. This delicate gesture requires mastery and sensitivity to avoid cracking the bamboo.
Each set is therefore unique.

With this mini-set, all you need is a little hot water and a small container (camping cup, mug, improvised bowl…) to recreate your ritual.
🧼 Use & care
• To remove the whisk, grasp it gently by the middle
• Avoid pushing it too deep into the case
• Do not leave the whisk permanently stored in its quiver
• Ideally, use a whisk holder (naoshi) to preserve its shape
• Always dry the pieces after use
• Avoid direct sunlight, humidity, excessive ventilation, or heat sources
